Liopa is excited to announce that Professor Gerasimos Potamianos has joined Liopa as Technical Strategy Advisor. Prof Potamianos, who is based at the University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece, will contribute to the direction of Liopa’s Visual Speech Recognition (VSR) technology – LipRead.
LipRead takes, as input, video of a subject(s) speaking. It uses advanced AI–Based techniques to decipher speech from analysis of speaker lip movements – essentially automated Lip Reading.
