QUBIS Ltd Celebrates 25 Years.
QUBIS Ltd was established in 1984 by The Queen's University of Belfast to commercialise the University's research and development activities through the formation of 'spin-out' businesses. Qubis Ltd is an investment vehicle, holding company which takes an equity holding in a new spin-out venture in return for an investment of cash and/or Intellectual Property. Qubis Ltd 'pulls through' appropriate R & D from the laboratory into the commercial market place.
Qubis is pioneering and one of the first to do spin-outs in the UK and Ireland. It is the first to invest capital as well as IP.
