We are pleased to announce the appointment of Artin Moussavi as Chief Investment Officer (CIO), further strengthening the QUBIS leadership team as we continue to support the creation and growth of innovative companies emerging from world-leading research.
As Chief Investment Officer, Artin will lead investment strategy at QUBIS, with responsibility for evaluating new opportunities, supporting the creation and growth of spinout companies, and managing the development and performance of our portfolio.
Artin brings more than 20 years of experience building, financing, investing in and leading innovation-led businesses across life sciences, deep technology and wider science and technology sectors. His experience further strengthens our ambition to help researchers and founders transform breakthrough ideas into successful businesses with long-term impact.
Prior to joining QUBIS, Artin founded and led technology and investment ventures and held senior leadership positions within venture-backed companies. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with academics, universities and investors to launch and scale high-growth businesses, secure investment and strategic partnerships, and translate breakthrough research into globally competitive companies.
Alongside his experience in building and investing in innovation-led ventures, Artin is also committed to attracting capital, talent and ambitious businesses that can strengthen Northern Ireland’s innovation ecosystem and contribute to wider economic growth and societal benefit.
